The firm operates on a unique sliding-scale model, with rates starting as low as $60 per hour based on income and family size, making justice accessible to those who do not qualify for free legal aid but cannot afford traditional private attorneys. Since its establishment in 2016, Charleston Legal Access has helped over 1,565 individuals and families, preserved more than $3.3 million in client assets, and assisted 1,056 tenants through its Eviction Protection Program, demonstrating a profound community impact.
